Need To Relocate Your Antenna? Jim’s Can Help!

If your TV is pixelating or you’re not getting any picture at all, there could be a few reasons why. From not having your TV and power cables connected to the wall sockets as well as the TV, to needing to perform an auto or manual scan for TV channels. If you’re unable to resolve your TV reception issues Jim’s Antennas will do a full assessment of your current antenna system and diagnose any reception problems using specialised equipment.

In some cases, your existing antenna may just need to be ‘relocated’ to another position on the roof, particularly if they had been installed during the Analogue period of time. With changes in the Australian TV Channel Frequency Spectrum, it’s quite often the case that we need to relocate the Antenna when looking for ‘better quality’ Signal.

Occasionally, at Jim’s Antennas we come across what we call a ‘rafter mount’ which penetrates the tile and is kept waterproof by using lead flashing.

At Jim’s Antennas Bateau Bay, Rodney and his team, prefer to simply ‘cut off’ the old pole at the base, plug it with a cap and silicone all around to ensure the ongoing integrity of the waterproofing. They then install an all new Roof Mount at the new location, but don’t use rafter mounts.
