Mark from Jim’s Antennas Mount Annan and a lifetime member of Macarthur BMX, recently installed a TV antenna, bracket and TV to the club’s new track building.
Wanting to give something back to his local community, Mark decided to donate his time completing the installation and some cable work around the facility. Also choosing to provide both the antenna, new 75″ TV and bracket all free of charge.
As always, when installing the brand new TV Mark ensured that all cabling was concealed. He also recommended and installed a fixed flat TV wall mount to give the television the flattest profile possible when up on the wall. This mount is discrete and is easily hidden by the screen, adding to the room’s neat and tidy finish.
To maximise the club’s ability to access a wide range of channels and receive the best signal strength and picture quality possible, when installing the TV antenna Mark took his time to find a spot in the perfect position that had a clear line of sight, and conducted multiple signal strength tests.
Just a few days before, he was also at the club helping terminate transponder loop cables throughout the new bike track. The transponders are part of a digital timing system made up of sensors, in which the loop cables installed inform the system of a rider’s ID and the time when they passed over the loop.
Once the cables were laid, club members could then race with each other on the new track.
