Jims Antennas Franchisees from Central Queensland and their family members have continued their involvement with community sporting events on The Sunshine Coast .
We took a short break from our busy schedule of digital TV , antenna and data related installation work to take part in a very special event.
The Noosa triathlon attracts athletes from all over the world . This world class event always starts on Friday morning with ” The Noosa Breakfast Fun Run” . Traditionally the fun run is a charity event , all funds raised are donated to Breast Cancer research . Jims Antennas ,Caloundra , Maroochydore , Sunshine Coast Hinterland, ,Noosa , Noosa Hinterland, Gympie ,Bundaberg and Rockhampton were proud to take part in this event and to play their part in raising funds for this worthy cause .
The run takes place in and around the famous Noosa Village . Starting at the river side of Noosa woods we ran along Hastings street for about a kilometre before turning left onto the beach . I think everyone found this leg of the run to be the most challenging , running on sand really takes it out of your legs ! It was important to head to the hard sand at the ocean edge . About 2.5 k along the beautiful beach until we were turned left again so we could complete the course by running along the riverside path through cool woodland .
The pace was set fairly fast. Our resident TRYathletes Colin and Tim from Jims Antennas Maroochydore and Gympie stayed neck and neck until youth prevailed and Tim from Gympie found some extra pace on the sand . Both were beaten by the even younger reps from Jims Antennas Witta ,Tom and Aiden who made it look easy !
Crossing the line with a burst of speed is as exciting for the inexperienced as it is the professional runners . The mass of pink clothing certainly made for a special atmosphere and I hope that we can get together and do it for a worthy cause again.
