ANTENNA REPLACEMENT EAST OF ADELAIDE
Duane from Jim’s Antennas Hope Valley & Adelaide City recently installed an antenna for a couple in Bowhill, South Australia.
Duane’s clients had been suffering through terrible reception, and initially did not believe that it would be possible to improve their signal due to the location of their home.
However, Duane was able to improve their antenna system by using an existing small pole and adding an extension to raise the antenna and strengthen it when bracing high winds. In this situation, Duane elevated the antenna so that it would be able to receive the clearest over-the-air connection with the local tower. At its original height the antenna had received some interference due to trees blocking some of the signal. However, by placing the antenna well-over over the canopy of these trees, this was no longer an issue.
Duane also replaced the customers original antenna with an Australian designed and manufactured Matchmaster DR3010. With 12.7mm heavy duty extruded elements for maximum strength and durability to keep it in place during rough winds, this antenna is perfectly suited to the Bowhill home.
