Matt of Jim’s Antennas comes from the coastal town of Moana in the south of Adelaide, and when he’s working on a roof for safety reasons he always wants to know if it’s going to rain. Earth Networks, the suppliers of the WeatherBug antenna (see attached image), have more than 10,000 of these antennas fitted throughout neighborhoods which allow for real time weather conditions, local forecasts and critical warnings when, where and how people need them most.
Matt recently installed this WeatherBug at a home in Seaford Rise as the client had a fascination with meteorology. Matt says that the WeatherBug is an interesting product that can also detect in-cloud and cloud to ground lightning strikes, which is a key indicator for severe weather and can be used to generate advanced alerts.
