You would like to think that after a big day of moving into your new property (whether you have bought or renting) you can sit down, relax and watch some TV. When this isn’t the case, thanks to a broken antenna, you may experience poor TV reception, image freezing or worse loss of channels. If you find yourself in this situation, it’s best to call on the experts.


There are many causes of poor TV reception. This could be cabling, splitters, connectors, amplifiers, incorrect installation or an antenna that has moved off alignment. Storm damage to TV Antennas is common also, especially during electrical storms.  High winds can damage antennas and heavy rain can cause shorting and other issues.


At Jim’s Antennas, our technician is able to assess and provide you with a free onsite quote accordingly. In most circumstances our technician is able to fix the problem for you on that very same day – it means you’ll be enjoying your favourite TV shows with perfect picture clarity and no more annoying drop outs.


Only recently, Luke from Jim’s Antennas Shepparton had a customer who had just moved into their house to find out that none of the free-to-air channels were working. After testing the TV wall points, Luke found that there was no signal coming from the antenna. He then inspected the existing antenna and found an old analogue antenna that had stopped working.


The existing antenna and mount were removed and a new digital antenna was installed in a better location on the roof to ensure that the best signal could be received. The customer was also wanting some additional TV wall points installed in the house. So Luke installed a 4G shielded digital amplifier at the antenna, to ensure that there was enough signal strength to power all of the new TV points, along with the existing ones in the house. Now the customer can enjoy watching TV again.

Until this is done, you need not pay for the job. If problems are not fixed within a fortnight, any advance will be refunded.

    Only if no problems are found by the expert, will you be asked to pay the agreed price for the job and half the cost of the report.

    If the job is done to get your bond back on leaving a rental property, the job is only considered good when the agent or landlord is satisfied.

    If payment is made in advance and the job not done, the payment will be refunded.
