Having Issues With Your TV Reception?

Has your TV reception started playing up? From pixelating, image freezing or loss of channels? If you are not getting any channels on your TV there could be simple reasons that you can evaluate before calling the experts.

  • Ensure your TV and power cables are connected to the wall sockets as well as the TV
  • Try to perform an auto or manual scan for TV Channels (refer back to your TV’s owner manual)
  • If you do have an amplifier in your system ensure the power supply is plugged in and turned on

If you are still unable to resolve the issue, Jim’s Antennas will do a full assessment of your current antenna system. They will let you know if your antenna can be repaired or will recommend replacing it with a new one. There are many causes of poor TV reception, ranging such as cabling, splitters, connectors, incorrect installation and age. Like most products, Antennas also have an expiry date and do need to be replaced.

When it comes to Antenna installation for your home, Jim’s Antennas are here to help. Not only will they install your antenna (and ensure that the antenna functions properly even if there’s heavy rain or storms) but they can also recommend the right one for you. At Jim’s Antennas we are proud to say we’ve partnered with Matchmaster and Bitek Pty Ltd to provide premium digital TV antennas for both UHF and VHF applications that come with a manufacturer’s lifetime guarantee.

Steve from Jim’s Antennas Heathmont installed a Matchmaster Dr3006, Tin tripod and 4 way splitter for customer, who wanted maximum signal strength, which is exactly what they got.

The Matchmaster Dr3006, is a six-element Yagi style antenna receiving channels 6-12 with a maximum gain of 8.1dB. The antenna features a 4G/5G LTE filter built in to help eliminate interference and deliver you the best possible pictures for your viewing. With the elements constructed from heavy-duty 12.7mm extruded aluminium tube, the DR3006 is well designed to handle the harsh Australian environment.
