If you live in Regional Australia and have frustratingly slow download speed you will be happy to know that there is a solution! You no longer have to wait for hours to download images, videos or streaming services. Typically, if you lived in rural areas satellite internet was much slower and less reliable. Until now. But what is the solution you ask?
Starlink, Elon Musk’s satellite internet system, which is owned by SpaceX. Starlink is designed to bring connectivity to challenging areas across the Globe, such as regional and rural Australia.
If you switch to Starlink as your new internet service provider, a neat little kit will be delivered to your doorstep. This package includes all of the equipment necessary to fulfil promises of drastically improved internet speeds and strength: a Starlink satellite, Wi-Fi router, power supply, cables and mounting tripod. While Starlink is sold as a DIY product, it often requires professional installation. At Jim’s Antennas our team are trained and experienced in all things relating to Satellite Installations.
Only recently, Matt from Jim’s Antennas & Security North Albury, had a customer who had issues with their satellite internet provider. They were suffering from poor download speeds. They decided to purchase Starlink, but wanted it to be correctly installed on their roof. Matt was able to identify the best location utilising the Starlink App. He mounted the Starlink dish on the roof, using an appropriate tin roof satellite mount.
The customer is now able to download at speeds between 60Mbps to 240mbps. Not only is the customer happy with the speed, but they were also happy with the neatness of the install.
If you have purchased a Starlink, we recommend you avoid damaging your expensive new equipment or running into technical issues by calling 131 546 or book here, to arrange your free onsite quote. You no longer have to put up with unreliable and irritatingly slow internet.
