CAN AN ELECTRIC FIREPLACE GO UNDER A MOUNTED TV?

To short answer to this question is – yes, but ….. You can mount an electric fireplace under a TV, but only if the TV isn’t blocking the outlet to the electric fireplace (or heater), or is not in the way of the heat. Having an electric fireplace underneath the mounted TV can create a stylish focal point to any room (and is also the safest option). It is not recommended to have a TV installed above an open wood fire so this is definitely the next ‘best’ option.

In case you are wondering, an electric fireplace consists of flames that are typically created by reflecting light off rotating mirrors onto a screen, while the heat is generated by a heater component inside the fireplace.

Luke from Jim’s Antennas Shepparton wall mounted a 70” TV for a customer. They also wanted their newly purchased electronic fireplace to be mounted underneath the TV. Luke arranged an electrician to install a power point behind the TV for the heater and TV.  The power cable for the heater was concealed in the wall cavity and then connected to the power point behind the TV.

The end result is just stunning and Luke has one very happy customer, who is now living in their dream room.
