As the size of our TVs continue to grow, so does the need for them to be mounted correctly.
On average 50 Australians a week are sent to the ER for injuries caused by toppling furniture or televisions. Totalling up to a whopping 2,600 people per year.
And now, with more Australians spending time at home, domestic accidents and deaths are on the rise.
In response to this issue, Kidsafe has launched a new national campaign called Split Second, in a bid to remind parents that it only takes a ‘split second’ for a child to be seriously injured around the home.
Whether working from home or returning to the workplace it is important to ensure that you take all of the right precautions to keep your little ones safe.
Here at Jim’s Antennas we would love to give you a hand. We will make sure that your TV is mounted safely and securely by our experienced professionals and that any wires or cabling is neatly concealed to not only keep your kids out of harms way, but to also give your lounge a clean finished look.
These precautionary measures are in line with Kidsafe‘s advice to parents which states that all furniture should be anchored to the walls, and TVs should either be wall-mounted or secured on a stand.
While you can’t prevent your kid’s natural tendency to want to explore their home environment, you can prevent a disaster by making an effort to ensure that you have all of the correct measures in place to keep them safe during their curious little adventures.
If you need help getting your TV mounted safely and securely, don’t hesitate to give us a call on 131 546, or book a free onsite no obligation quote online. Or take a look at our TV Wall Mounting service page for more information.
