ANTENNA REPLACEMENT SOUTH-WEST OF SYDNEY
Mark from Jim’s Antennas Mount Annan recently replaced an antenna and mast on a granny flat in Narellan. When Mark arrived on-site he was greeted by a low quality combo UHF/VHF Bunnings antenna which had been poorly mounted onto a rusty J pole Eave Mount. No wonder this poor customer was experiencing bad TV reception!
Mark was quick to replace the old antenna with an Australian made Matchmaster 4G filtered full VHF digital antenna. In some parts of Australia, signals are transmitted on both VHF and UHF, however in higher density metro areas most signals are only transmitted either via a VHF or UHF signal. Thus, removing the need for Mark’s client to have a combo antenna. Mark also made sure his client’s antenna included a 4G filter in order to eliminate disruption to TV signals due to communication by 4G mobile towers in the area being transmitted at the same frequency.
When replacing this antenna system, Mark also replaced the rusty old J pole, with a shiny new Tripod Colourbond Roof Mount. This mount is specialised for installing antennas on tin roofs, and its tripod shape enables it to sustain high wind loads.
