It’s that time of year again! It has been a busy time again for Matt at Jim’s Antennas in Moana and surrounding suburbs.
The wind and rain has once again put to test the integrity of TV aerials and various ways they are installed to roofs.
Nowadays there are lots of new mounting options for different roof types, not just the usual fascia mounted brackets.
These are the type that Matt sees a lot of at this time of year. In the past, they may have been mounted to fascia trim rather than substantial timber work. The constant movement in the wind and rain can weaken the trim and split the timber, the bracket falls and damages the antenna or property.
This antenna was replaced and re-sited to a much more suitable part of the roof. It now receives the best available signal from the roof, which is perfect for a fault free signal to the multiple TVs in the house. The antenna is now away from the outdoor living area as well.
The owner can be assured that together with the smaller modern digital antenna and a better suited roof mount, they won’t have to worry about their antenna system any time soon.
