This is a phrase that Aaron from Jim’s Antennas Montrose hears all the time and the answer is – unless you want to receive perfect digital signal then having an antenna installation inside roof spaces is not advised.
Back in the day of analogue TV reception a lot of antennas were hidden inside the roof cavity as they were deemed unsightly or it was thought they would last longer inside the roof out of the elements. But with the introduction of digital TV reception a lot of these antennas have been replaced with an external, digital spec antenna but we are still called to properties where the existing antenna is inside the roof and the customer is having reception issues. The problem is the current digital signal is very different to the old analogue signal that was transmitted and needs to be captured by an external antenna.
At Jim’s Antennas we can send out a technician to diagnose you reception issues, offer a free quote and even fix your troubles on the same day so give us a call on 131 546.
