When most customers think of Jim’s Antennas, they usually assume that we are the go to company should a new antenna installation be required. We can diagnose your digital TV reception problems, and believe me, the digital age has brought about its fair share of problems. Reports from our technicians indicate the strangest things impacting on digital TV reception, including:
Identifying these causes of interference is all in a days work for the average Jim’s Antennas technician.
However, we encourage our technicians to undertake training to add more ‘strings to their bow’. Jim’s Antennas Narellan Vale has taken this advice and branched out to add far more services to their repertoire. One of these services is the installation of home theatre equipment, which can include TV wall mounts with cabling concealed behind walls, mounting of speakers also with concealed cabling, as well as the connection of all electronic equipment such as the amplifier, subwoofer and any games consoles such as Wii or Sony Play Station.
Wall or roof mounting a TV or speakers is intricate and takes precision. Our technicians carry the required tools to complete the job right first time every time. Andrew says, “I don’t know how many times I’ve responded to a cry for help after a DIY disaster. Whether it be a levelling issue, a hole in the wall, or a TV mounted to the plaster and not the studs, I’ve seen it all. Full credit to those who believe they have the skills to
complete the job and do complete it successfully. But to those who have a crack to try save some money and come unstuck, it’s sometimes hard to have sympathy on these occasions”.
Customer continues “If I need work done around my home and I’m not confident, I call in the professionals. I’m seen some mistakes that have been extremely costly and much more than I would have charged to complete the job in the first place”. In the attached image, which is a home in Narellan Vale, the owner attempted to mount the TV himself. When he sat down with his partner to watch TV that evening, they found themselves tilting their heads. The owner installer then got out the level and realised that he was 12mm lower on one side than the other!
He then called in us to fix the mistake, which was relatively simple for someone of our experience. The owner didn’t even attempt to mount the speakers himself and left this to the experts. This took us half a day as he didn’t want to rush as you don’t get a second chance if you make an initial mistake.
