Have you applied for the Satellite Subsidy Scheme?
Australia is switching over to digital TV. In order to continue enjoying freeview channels, certain households in suburban metropolitan areas, remote and regional Australia will have to shift to the Viewer Access Satellite Television (VAST) technology. This direct-to-home, digital satellite TV service allows viewers to enjoy the same channels their metropolitan counterparts receive.
The government is also doing its bit to assist eligible viewers make the transition to digital television by providing financial and technical assistance. The Satellite Subsidy Scheme (SSS) is one such endeavour. Go to the Federal Government website and check whether the scheme covers your area.
